Smart Financial, in partnership with the Smart Financial Centre, invites community leaders to the Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land for an informative private reception featuring Chris Gardner discussing his Back 2 High School Permission 2 Dream tour on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Gardner—an entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author of “The Pursuit of Happyness” ,which was the inspiration for the motion picture of the same name starring Will Smith— has taken his message of self-reliance and positivity to millions of people globally and is now focusing on inspiring the next generation in the United States with his Back 2 High School Permission 2 Dream tour. With support from the Smart Financial Foundation, Gardner spoke to students at Stafford High School and Lamar High School on Feb. 13 and 14.

The event on Feb. 18 is an opportunity for civic and community minded individuals, companies, and organizations who want to invest in our children’s future to hear more about his goal of inspiring over 100,000 students to achieve their dreams. With additional community support, Gardner will return to the Houston area for speaking engagements at schools within Brazoria, Fort Bend, Harris and Montgomery counties later this year.
